We loved the food!
Andrew was very efficient, very professional, and put up with my emails and many changes of plan brilliantly. He even coped with a bit of off roading to get set up on the day. We had 100 guests and had the hog, some chicken for the kids, a veggie quiche and salad / desserts. There was enough for seconds and everybody commented on just how good the food was. We would like to thank Andrew for feeding our guests and helping make our day very special. If you need a hog, Andrew's your man!

My wife's 40th birthday party was catered for by Ribble Valley Hog Roast. I cannot recommend them highly enough. The food was superb, delivered courteously and on time without fuss but with charm and courtesy despite atrocious weather conditions.

From first discussing our proposed Hogroast to Andrew leaving us at the end of his hard worked day; there was not one problem.
He understood our requirements, negotiated sensibly and provided the hog on the day of reckoning in a superb manner..........even the weather was brill !!
I would recommend Andrew and his Ribble Valley scenario to anyone. We considered, and quoted, several before our decision and never regretted our final decision to have Andrew.
He was at our house on time and the hog was available for viewing whilst being cooked.
Our 80+ guests thoroughly enjoyed the food, with many going back for another taste. The small amount left was duly cut by Andrew, and there is still some left in the freezer to remind us of the day.

Andrew did a fantastic job! What an great addition to our Charity Golf Event. Not only did he make a fantastic job of the 'hog', he was also so friendly and sociable with our clients, and really couldn't do enough for us on the day (including helping with certain heavy lifting jobs that he had no obligation to get involved with).

"Hog roast in the Dales"
Andrew and his team did a great job for us at our wedding recently and all of our guests commented how great the food was. He was well organised throughout the run up and quietly got on with all the preparation on the day whilst we had lots of other things to worry about! We would certainly recommend his services and would use him again - in fact we already have for a work party.
There was the right amount of food and a bit left over for the next day which was perfect.

"fantasitic tasting food: more than just a pig!"
We went for the top class canapes for our wedding as people arrived - excellent choice, well worth the extra pounds.
Never EVER tasted crackling as good as on our hog!!
Plenty of pork left over which Andrew kindly dished up for us to keep eating through the night (and the morning!)
Had comments after from the guests about the bacon butties after such as "best bacon butties I've ever had!" again, plenty left for breakfast! They wern't just a rash of bacon on a hovis loaf, they were packed full of bacon AND lettuce and tomato (BLT).
Very friendly, very professional, very tidy and neat - exactly what we were looking for!

"Fantastic!"
We hired Ribble Valley Hog Roast for our wedding party this weekend and the food was fantastic, we received many compliments from our guests on the night. The pork was succulent and tasty, the salads made a lovely addition and the apple sauce and crackling were perfect! My dad was particularly impressed with the timing list the staff had and the fact that they stuck to it, to the minute! We would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a Hog Roast. "The whole hog!"
Andrew & his young assistant Tom catered for our 25th Wedding Anniversary party and did a fabulous job for us. On arrival they were very helpful in sorting out the best position to make life easy for our guests, they were professional and very easy to deal with throughout and nothing was too much trouble.
The hog when cooked was wonderful and all our guests were well fed and raving about the quality. We also had salads served which were very tasty, with the main course completed a selection of desserts were served to our guests which again were of high quality.
I think the empty plates and rather stripped to the bone hog said it all. I saw people going back twice and even a few with hearty appetites managed a third portion of hog roast.
A great team and one I would recommend without hesitation.

"Well Andrew, you certainly deliver what you promise, from the moment you and your team arrived, you had that air of professionalism around you, clean smart and confident of your ability and you had every right to be, the whole experience got off to a great start with some very tasty canap s you served with the champagne as our guests arrived from the Church, and the antipasti we enjoyed a little later was definitely a very nice touch as it kept everyone ticking along quite nicely towards the main event, and I must say the main event surpassed even my expectations.
The hog roast was cooked to perfection so moist with the most amazing crackling (I saw guest going back for more crackling time again) the roast lamb was every bit as good I don't believe it could have been cooked better as were the chickens (no dried up chicken at this christening) and all cooked from fresh that morning and served bang on time, with some great side dishes which complimented the cooked meats superbly well, all followed by an array of great dessert to choose from.
Later in the evening those bacon roll's came out at just the right time, as they went down a bomb with everyone, amazing what a few drinks and a bit of dancing does for your appetite, you all did a great job, throughout the day and evening, there were 250-300 guests in that marquee with a good number of children your teams patience with everyone, and the speed in which you managed to get the food out was a credit to you, in return our guest's paid you the best compliment possible, everyone completely satisfied and not one bit of meat of any kind left to be wasted.
I would not hesitate in recommending your services to anyone congratulations on running a superb product.

Andrew and his team did an amazing job at our wedding! All the guests loved the food and have been going on about how good it was since our wedding (two weeks ago). The hog roast was fantasitic with lots of crackling and the salads and deserts were way above my expectations! The service was excellent and the food was served quickly (even with 120 guests!). Review for Ribble Valley Hog Roast : Lets start by saying the food was outstanding. We decided to have a less formal wedding meal by having a hog roast rather than a sit down meal. We still did the full table layout but we thought the less formal buffet style service of a hog roast would work better. The service may have been less formal but the food and experience did not disappoint. I think every guest commented on the pork and how they had never tasted anything as good before. And that's a good compliment coming from the many food lovers who attended our wedding. We've had hog roast before but nothing this good. The stuffing and apple sauce which accompanied it was also top notch. We also went for a selectiion of salads and new potatoes, these too were very well made and went perfectly with the hog. We went for most of the salads on offer and deserts to give everyone a variety. Let's just say people went back for first, seconds and thirds in some cases. The desserts were homemade quality rather than out of a packet and went down a storm. Although the food was the most important thing, the back drop of the hog cooking on a spit was a real crowd pleaser and made for some great photos. Last, but definitely not least there was Andrew and his assistant. Thoroughly nice guys and extremely friendly and professional. Andrew knew the minute the hog was at its best. Accomodating in every way, Andrew even managed to spare time to calm me down just before I left for the ceremony. There were even offers of help with the few last minute jobs we had to do. The price was very competitive but this did not reduce the quality in any way. You will not be disappointed, thank you again so much Andrew, Steve and Jane.

Ribble Valley Hog Roast were exceptional - every element of my dealings with them was completely delightful and our friends and family are still talking about the food served. It was a real pleasure to work with someone who did everything they said they would do, it built trust and confidence very quickly. Andrew was helpful, flexible, creative and exceptionally reasonable so that I could keep within my budget. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

We were extremely pleased with your excellent service last weekend. From my point of view the quality of the food exceeded my expectations (particularly the antipasti) and as far as I'm aware our guests were very satisfied and really enjoyed all of it. Obviously it was a very busy day for us and it was great that you were able to arrive, set up and deliver all the food in a very professional and friendly way so that I didn't have to worry about anything. We absolutely loved our Lamb Roast! It helped make our wedding special and loads of our guests commented on how wonderful it was. So tasty!! Lamb was a great twist on the traddtional Hog Roast and it was fabulous!
A very professional service and we all loved the lamb, salads and yummy deserts.

I booked my entire wedding party via suppliers I found through google... and was a little worried about whether all would go to plan... am happy to inform my day was magical, and the Ribble Valley Hog Roast was better than I ever expected. They turned up bang on time, looking smart and clean. The gazeebo they brought fitted in with my party a treat, and they were very professional and self sufficiant. All communication leading up to the event was also fab. a pleasure to deal with. We had 170 guests, all of which are quite greedy, so I asked for a hog raost for 250 people. We had OODLES left over, which was all left with us, and made a fabulous lunch the next day for all our staying guests. I definately didn't need to order as much as I did but the left overs were top notch and didn't go to waste. crackling was yummy, and the accompanying salads turned the hog roast into a fabulous meal. my guests all commented on how the salads and potatoes were delicious.

Ribble Valley Hog Roast provided an excellent hog roast for my wedding on 05.09.09. The Hog roast really made the occasion!!! almost all of our guests commented on the delicious buffet and several people had 3 or more trips back for more portions.
Chef was highly professional, personable and easy to contact. The planning and execution of the roast was carefully done. I have no doubt that in the future we will be booking Ribble valley roast for further parties, i would highly recommend his services. Good Points: Well presented, well served by helpful, polite anf informative guy
Bad Points: I now have to make 'craklin' just like theirs whenever I cook pork!!!

We used Hog Roast from the Ribble Valley at our Daughter's wedding. We looked at a few web sites and reviews but this one stood out as being the more professional company. The hog roast was a huge success, the flavour of the meat was the best we have ever tasted and the salads were superb. Everyone was commenting on how good it all was. staff were very well organised, a pleasure to deal with and very efficient with the service on the day. We shall look forward to using them again for our next big party.

My daughter organised a surprise Ruby Wedding + 65th Birthday part for my husband. We live in the Ribble Valley and apparently she thought 'local' and chose Ribble Valley Hog Roast. Everyone at the party totally agreed. they were thoroughly professional and courteous. The food (we had a hog roast but apparently there are different menus to choose from) was cooked to perfection, there was 100% given to detail. We had approximately 60 people at the party and not 1 person made a negative comment. I would recommend this firm to anyone thinking of caterers.

Having been in the catering trade my self for a considerable time as a chef, i was most impressed by the quality of the food & the professionalism that he showed. Rible Valley Hog Roast came to cater for our daughter's 21st party in the garden and everything was absolutely first class ... we had never been to a hog roast ourselves and certainly did not need to have any worries about how it would turn out because it all went so well. We were very impressed with the way he unobtrusively set up, prepared and presented the food and then cleared up afterwards. All our guests commented on the absolutely delicious pork and crackling, perfectly cooked, and also the canapes and salads. It all contributed to a really fabulous evening and we recommend them wholeheartedly.

The hog rost itself was amazing, delicious succulent meat and lovely crispy crackling........mmmm. The portions were very generous and filling, no one went hungry!
Compared to the usual buffets available the hog roast certainly provides excellent value for money and offers something a little different from the norm for the guests.
Overall we had a terrific evening, the hog roast being the highlight of the night, everyone loved it.

We contacted Ribble Valley Hog Roast after being dissatisfied with the customer service from another hog roast company and right from the word go was very impressed with efficient service we received. They kept in touch throughout to check on details for our garden party wedding of 60 guests. From the canapes on arrival, to the hog roast for the wedding breakfast and then finishing with bacon sandwiches for everyone, everything was faultless and completely stress free. He also organised the drinks staff for the day. All in all it helped to make our day complete and the guests are still talking about the wonderful food..

Turned up on time. Food was perfect. More than enough food for everyone. Brought everything we needed even apple sauce and stuffing. These guys did a perfect job and the food was fantastic. Would certainly have them back again and will strongly recommend Ribble Valley Hog Roast, Lancashire.

My family and I had many comments regarding the food, all of which were commending the high quality of service and food. Many also commented on the spectacle of the hog on the spit, which for some was a first.
Ensured that the food was served quickly in a buffet style layout, meaning everyone got fed within a very reasonable amount of time.
My partner and I most enjoyed the fantastic crackling which was served alongside the meat, it was very very good!

Ribble Valley did a Hogroast for our wedding day. They were professional and punctual. The food was tasty and there was more than enough to go round. Salads and deserts were also good. Also fairly flexible with timings as weddings seem to overrun slightly!

General comments: Ribble Valley Hog Roast surpassed all of our expectations for our wedding. When we planned to have 150 guests for an informal wedding BBQ, we didn't really anticipate the volume of food and general organisation required to feed that many people, at the same time. They helped us to achieve the exact level of informality and quality that we were hoping for. Organisation was excellent, requiring minimum input from us, and they assisted us in other areas expertly. When we arrived back at the house after the actual wedding, we did not expect everything to be all set up and organised. However, everything was under control, and we were able to enjoy the day, and their excellent BBQ without any worry.I would have no hesitation at all in recommending Ribble Valley Hog Roast and their services for whatever size of 'do'. Fantastic service from start to finish from Ribble Valley Hog Roast, I would not hesitate to recommend them, our wedding was five weeks ago and the guests are still raving about the crackling. We are already thinking about our first anniversary, we wouldn't have a party without Ribble Valley Hog Roast and one of their hogs!

We had them provide a Hog Roast and Lamb for nearly 200 people at our wedding reception party in a large Marquee. The food was amazing and everyone was raving about the meat and especially the crispy crackling! He even postponed his holiday for us so he could provide the hog roast for our special day! Very friendly and good to have there on our wedding day! The food was brilliant, all 120 guests were very happy and full, (especially when he bought out the hot roast lamb at 9.00pm!) Everyone commented on Ribble Valley Hog Roast and the food. Wouldn't change a thing! Perfect way to eat for a relaxed wedding!

Our experience with Ribble Valley Hog Roast could not have been better. Everything we asked of them was carried out without any problem. We could enjoy our daughter's wedding celebration knowing everyone was happy with the food. There was plenty to eat so 2nd helpings went down well. Friendly towards everyone and this was commented on by our guests. We would have no hesitation in recommending Ribble Valley Hog Roast to others.

Excellent professional service from Ribble Valley Hog Roast. Completely self sufficient. service. Turned up when said they would and food was ready when said it would be. Food was very tasty and everyone when back for more. Would recommend Ribble Valley Hog Roast for any event, well worth the money. Will book again next year for our Open Day.

Everything about the day was perfect. The organisation was excellent even to supervising safety aspects, the food was excellent. We were consulted about timings and servings. The clearing away was spot on. Good communication before the event. Arrived on time. Very safety conscious. Circulated with the guests and left me with nothing to worry about.
